Guiding in Lom Stavechurch

There are 28 stave churches from the middel ages left in Norway. Lom stave church is one of theese. Please observe that the church is our main church and not a museum, and we ask you kindly to bear this in mind during your visit. We also ask you to inform your guests that we do not allow use of cameras inside the church and that smoking is strictly forbidden outside the church as well as inside (wooden church - fire hazard).

The church will be closed for regular services, funerals, weddings etc. without further notice being given. We have not planned all Sunday services/weddings for summer 2012 yet, all reservations are made on the condition that the church is open to the public on the requested day/hour. We will know if a funeral is taking place about 5 days in advance , and you are recommended to contact us in that period for a firm confirmation of your reservation. Entrance fee 2012: Nok 45,-/ person in group (minimum 10 persons) Nok 55,-/person (less than 10 persons) Children with paying adults free Tour guide and driver free (with group) Vouchers accepted.

Guided tours for groups booked in advance. Otherwise when possible.

We may regrettably not be able to give a guided tour in the required language (alternative language usually english)
